This project involved creating a bespoke shelving unit around a window in an office meeting room.

The customer wanted the slelving unit to match the concrete effect furniture already present in the room, so we chose a concrete effect board from Egger, which ended up being a great match.

Whenever using a melamine faced board (MFC), such as in this project, it’s really important not to screw the unit together, as hiding the screw holes is impossible and any visible screws in the Melamine really negatively impact the look of the unit. Hence, invisible fixings called PEANUT 2 connectors from Intelligent Fixings were used to lock the parts together without the need for screws.
